Garden nasturtium – mix – 45-80cm
Contains benzyl isothiocyanate, essential oil, potassium, oil and protein, a lot of vitamin C, strengthens the immune system, especially with prolonged cough, inflammation of the urinary tract.
The plant is very popular as a component of tincture helps against hair loss and to promote their growth. It is a compact plant that is often used in the company of other plants as a natural pesticide. The flowers and leaves (they taste like watercress) are edible and are becoming more popular every year to diversify salads. You can use seeds to make tea.
It thrives best in a sunny location or partial shade. We plant seeds individually at a distance of about twenty centimeters, they grow on all types of well-drained soils.
For the plant, the poorer the soil is the richer the vibrant flowers are. In containers, flowers can hang over the edge or we can let them climb for support.
Cultivation: Plant by direct sowing to a depth of approximately 0.5 to 1 cm in a clasp of 13-25cm x 13-25cm. It requires a sunny location or moderate shade. It germinates for 1-2 weeks and does not require humus soil as it produces less flowers and more organic matter.
Seedling: The plant produces flowers all summer and the seeds ripen gradually, so it will be a little more stretched as the flower blooms first, where later 2-3 seeds are formed that need to be allowed to ripen. The seeds are ready to harvest when they begin to fall off the plant.
