Nishio Aichi Matcha is the superior Japanese Matcha green tea suitable for ceremonial preparation, called Chanoyu or Chado in Japan. It goes without saying that this fresh Matcha is both tasty and effective. It is made from tender Tencha tea leaves, whose tea bushes are covered in shade for several weeks before harvesting to protect them from sunlight. This process stimulates the plant to produce more chlorophyll and at the same time increases the production of amino acids, especially L-theanine. The tea leaves are then plucked by hand to collect loose leaves, then the leaves are stripped of stems and veins. At this point, the cut tea is called Tencha tea. It is then ground in traditional stone mills into a fine green powder that is this wonderful Matcha.

Japan Nishio Aichi Matcha has a delicate, robust, distinctively full yet mild and sweet taste, and smooth delicious foam. The powder has a beautiful deep green color. The flavor in the mouth is dense but leaves a delicate and long-lasting aftertaste of a wonderful green tea. It comes from the most famous organic region for growing Matcha in Japan, the Nishio region of Aichi Prefecture. Nishio is one of the oldest tea regions with a history spanning over 850 years. The Nishio tea plantations are located at an altitude of around 500 m.a.s.l. The climate is cooler than in the surrounding areas, which prevents the occurrence of pests. This region thus represents one of the most important organic tea regions, producing the highest quality organic teas.
