Description

Selenium is an essential mineral and antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage, supports the immune system, and contributes to the normal functioning of the thyroid gland. It may help maintain healthy skin, hair and nails, plays a role in DNA synthesis, and protects the body against oxidative stress. In addition, selenium contributes to normal heart function and may help slow cellular ageing.

As the body cannot produce selenium on its own, it must be obtained from the diet or supplements. Natural sources include nuts (especially Brazil nuts), fish, meat and eggs.

Ingredients

Sunflower oil, sunflower lecithin, wax, selenium (sodium selenite), capsule shell (gelatine, glycerine).

Recommended Daily Dose

Adults: Take 1 capsule daily with a sufficient amount of water.
