Lemon balm is a perennial medicinal herb, native to Asia Minor.
It is a very popular herb that is known for its soothing effect and pleasant taste.
It can be used to treat sleep disorders, relieve cramps or induce well-being.
It is also recognized for its repellent effects.Sow the seeds in March or April. The ideal clip is 30×30 cm, and the sowing depth is 2 cm. The germination period is 3-4 weeks or longer.
We choose a semi-shady or sunny habitat and are well protected from the wind. The soil should be well drained, loamy-sandy, humus and rich in nutrients. We supply watering regularly and sufficiently, preferably in the form of standing water. We can also fertilize the plants, approximately once every 14 days with organic liquid fertilizer.
For the winter, we cover lemon balm with soil and leaves. At home, we can grow and harvest it all year round, outdoor harvest from spring to autumn.
